Since the start of this project last Tuesday we’ve been so busy with brainstorming, planning and testing that we barely had the time to introduce ourselves. That’s why we will dedicate this belated blog to getting acquainted with us.
My name is Erik,
I’m studying industrial design and doing an exchange semester from Sweden. Why I chose this project is because I see an opportunity with help of technology to change the way we behave at the museum. I want to make a better user experience with help of interaction and involvement with the information that is given. Easier to understand and learn about our history, no matter where your from and how old you are.
I am Jannelie de Vries and I study computer science, I wanted to work on this project because I want to learn how to program with the HoloLens and make museum visits more interesting.
Hi my name is Ivan. My BSc is mechanical engineering and I’m interested in lots of things. The reason I chose to work on this particular project is because it sounded like cutting edge research to me, that’s what excited me the most. It is something that could potentially be the next new thing in musea and I believe it’s very worthwile to invest in preserving history. On top of that I have a great interest in history in general so this would go hand in hand perfectly.
I’m furthermore fascinated about the hololens and the opportunities this new technology has to offer. I’m looking forward to learn how it works and how to make little programs or apps for it.
I am Annelies Maltha. I study Industrial Design where we focus a lot on the user experience. This is something I find very interesting and want to focus on during this project. Additionaly, I would love to learn how to implement the Hololens in this project, in programming as well as in creating a new experience for the visitors of the exhibit.
